Two College of Human Sciences students will share research at the 34th annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research, April 12-14, online. Celeste Chadwick, a senior in food science, and Elizabeth “Biz” Cuvelier, a senior in elementary education, are part of the sizeable Iowa State University contingent of students who will present their scientific studies, take part in professional development opportunities, and network with about 4,000 undergraduate students from across the U.S. at the virtual event.

Chadwick’s study examined the thermal stability of rice bran wax-gelatin bigels using differential scanning calorimetry, with graduate student Ariana Saffold and associate professor Nuria Acevedo. Cuvelier will present research she conducted on mental health among college athletes, with graduate student Sydney Cindrich and assistant professor Jacob Meyer.
