Alam develops cell phone apps to augment reality, improve student learning

A native of Bangladesh, Imtiajul Alam’s first career was in architecture. With a desire to leave a lasting impact on the world led, he brought his skills in 3D graphics to the field of education and graduate school at Iowa State. Majoring in human computer interaction, and working with associate professor Larysa Nadolny in the School of Education, Alam is working on impactful research to help students learn better.
