Add a Canvas Course Tile Image
August 27, 2018It is much easier for you and your students to identify your Canvas course if you add an image to the course tile. The simplest way to create an image with the proper dimension ratio is to create one PowerPoint slide in landscape layout, and save it as an image file (jpeg, gif, or png) on your computer. Remember that the slide will be small when viewed so any text should be very large. In your Canvas account, go to Settings. On the top of the Course Details screen, click the ‘Choose image’ link, drag your saved image from its storage place on your computer to the Canvas window, scroll down and click Save. For the best viewing, each participant should go to their Dashboard, click the 3 vertical dots to far right of the word ‘Dashboard’ title and uncheck the Color Overlay setting.
