AESHM authors among finalists for 2020 AAHE Sustainability Award

Ching-Hui-(Joan) Su and Chin-Hsun (Ken) Tsai, both assistant professors in apparel, events, and hospitality management, are finalists for an international award that recognizes outstanding, high-impact research in higher education sustainability. The Iowa State University researchers, along with co-authors from two other universities, are up for an award in the campus sustainability research category in a competition organized by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. From over 500 research articles, 22 were identified as finalists in the campus sustainability awards category on the basis of overall impact, innovation, stakeholder involvement, and clarity.

The team’s paper explores the interaction between environmental consciousness and sustainable food attributes as predictors in the market segmentation process for sustainable foods with respect to United States Gen Z consumers.
