Alum Petey Peterson (BS ’10 child, adult, and family services; MEd ’12 education) to receive two national awards for advancing inclusion from ACPA

Iowa State University alum Petey Peterson (B.S. ’10 child, adult, and family services; M.Ed. ’12 education) will receive two honors from the American College Personnel Association. Peterson will receive the 2019 Voice of Inclusion Award for making their campus, ACPA, and the field more equitable, inclusive, and just places. Peterson will also receive the Julie B. Elkins Outstanding Service award from ACPA’s Coalition for Sexuality and Gender Identities. The Elkins award recognizes Peterson’s work in raising LGBT awareness. Both awards will be presented to Peterson at the ACPA annual convention in Boston, March 3-6.
