Byron Brehm-Stecher loaned FlowCam 8000 instrument for research with Jared Anderson on magnetic ionic liquids:

Byron Brehm-Stecher, associate professor in food science and human nutrition, was awarded a loan of a FlowCam 8000 flow imaging microscope from Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies. The FlowCam 8000 will be used in his research with Jared Anderson, professor in chemistry. Their work aims to determine the molecular mechanisms behind capture of bacteria by magnetic ionic liquids. Funding for travel to present results of this work at a professional meeting will also be provided.
