Canvas Quiz Value Display Bug
September 19, 2018If a quiz has a non-whole number value (e.g. it is worth 4.5 points), the value will display correctly on the Grades, Assignments, and Syllabus Schedule screens to all course participants, but will display incorrectly on the Quizzes page. On the Quizzes page, the quiz value will be rounded up to the next whole number (e.g. 5 points). This display error occurs for all participant roles. If your course has quizzes with non-whole number total values, consider removing the Quizzes link from the student’s Course Menu view to reduce confusion. This is done by going to Settings > click the Navigation tab on top of screen > drag Quizzes from the top table to the bottom table > click Save. Verify that the Course Menu change by switching to student view.
