Catch ‘Indigenous People in Children’s and Young Adult Literature’ lecture on Feb. 26 — part of the Hilton Endowed Chair Series: Dr. Debbie Reese, an independent scholar of Indigenous children’s literature, will be presenting in the Memorial Union Great Hall on Feb. 26. In this lecture, which is part of the 2019-2020 Helen LeBaron Hilton Chair Series, Dr. Reese will examine depictions of Native peoples in children’s books, past and present, and provide suggestions for how to become more skilled in selecting and presenting information about Indigenous peoples to children.
