Check out ‘My 300-Pound Journey Up Kilimanjaro’ lecture on body acceptance, body love and health on Feb. 26: Attend : The Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week Speaker, Kara Richardson-Whitely, will discuss her journey of self-acceptance and body positivity. Her life story with her eating disorder is one many people connect to – emotional eating; using food as a way to escape daily stressors; hiding food behaviors and being ashamed of the person whom they have become. The lecture will take place at 8:15 p.m. in the Memorial Union Sun Room.
