College of Human Sciences students Ashley Jones, Ryan True, Katrina Pedrick receive awards at pitch-off contest
March 2, 2018Iowa State students Ashley Jones, a senior in event management; Ryan True, a junior in kinesiology and health; and Katrina Pedrick, a senior in apparel, merchandising, and design; all won awards for their 90-second business pitches during the College of Human Sciences pitch-off contest on Feb. 27. Jones won first place with her ‘Swoon’ pitch, True won runner up with his ‘Full Circle Alternative Wellness’ pitch, and Pedrick won runner up with her ‘Who New’ pitch. As the winner of the CHS pitch-off, Jones will present her pitch as part of the ISU Innovation Pitch contest on Tuesday, March 6. This year’s pitch-off contest, sponsored by the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, marks the first-ever pitch event taking place throughout all seven colleges at Iowa State University.
