Course analytics

Canvas’ revised course analytics tool, ‘New Analytics’, provides a summary of all course activity by date as well as a summary of each student’s participation and assignment submission status. The default provides page view and participation rates (measured in terms of discussion posts, assignment submissions, quizzes taken, etc.) in graphical format and is intended to display trends. For a more detailed breakdown, switch from the ‘Students’ tab to the ‘Resources’ tab. This report indicates the total number of students who have looked at each content and activity instruction screen, the total page views per item, and total number of submissions (‘Participations’) to each activity. Course analytics do not provide specific details about what each student did specifically – for that, view the student’s Access Report.
