Don Hackmann, Carl Weems, and Greg Welk were recently inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education: Hackmann, Weems, Welk inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education: Three Iowa State University professors were inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education in October. Leaders from Iowa State University who were newly inducted included Don Hackmann, director of the School of Education and Frances S. and Arthur L. Wallace Professor in the College of Human Sciences; Carl Weems, professor and chair of human development and family studies; and Greg Welk, Barbara E. Forker Professor in kinesiology. Comprised of outstanding scholars in a wide range of fields, the academy informs preK-20 educational policies through scholarly consideration and analysis of policies and practices.
