Erin Connor showcases garments at Minneapolis Fashion Week: Connor is a senior in apparel, merchandising, and design; an assistant at the ISU Theatre Costume Shop; and a sewing lab monitor in the College of Human Sciences. She showcased her work on Saturday, April 28. All of her garments are sustainably made with the issue of food waste in mind. They are naturally dyed using avocado pits and skins, as well as black beans. The blouse and paints are composed of organic banana fibers, and the vest is made of recycled burlap coffee sacks.
