Event management senior Ashley Jones wins best overall pitch at 2018 ISU Innovation Pitch Competition

Event management senior Ashley Jones on March 6 won Best Overall Pitch and a $1,000 cash prize at the 2018 ISU Innovation Pitch Competition. Students had the chance to pitch their business concept or idea in a 90-second elevator pitch to a panel of judges for cash prizes. Jones pitched Swoon Event Studio, an online event studio where brides or anyone planning an event can design custom tablescapes and rent items in one location. She advanced to the Iowa State University event after taking first place at the College of Human Sciences pitch competition. The competition was hosted by the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship. Jones’ cash prize was sponsored by the Renewable Energy Group.
