HDFS doctoral student Maria Alcívar Zúñiga receives AAC&U Future Leaders Award

Maria Alcívar Zúñiga, a doctoral student in human development and family studies, will receive the 2020 K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award from the Association of American Colleges and Universities. Only seven graduate students were selected for the award from among a pool of more than 200 applicants nationwide. The award recognizes Alcívar for showing exemplary promise as a future leader of higher education, demonstrating a commitment to developing academic and civic responsibility, and doing work that reflects a strong emphasis on teaching and learning.
