Iowa State University alumnus, athletic training instructor, and head athletic trainer in ISU Athletics Timothy Weesner has been named Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Iowa Athletics Trainer Society. The award recognizes distinguished athletic trainers in a college or university setting through their work with athletes, pre-professional students, and contributions to IATS.
