Iowa State Daily features CHS pitch competition: The Iowa State Daily on March 5 featured the CHS Pitch Off competition, held Feb. 27 in advance of the university-wide competition on March 6. The CHS event was one of seven total events, taking place in each of the colleges at Iowa State. Ashley Jones, a senior in marketing and event management, took first place at the CHS event with her idea for Swoon Event Studio, an online event studio where brides or anyone planning an event can design custom tablescapes and rent items in one location. She later went on to win best overall pitch and $1,000 at the 2018 ISU Innovation Pitch Competition.
