ISU Creamery names Human Sci Sweet Cherry Pie best College of Human Sciences flavor

A sweet corn custard featuring swirls of cherry pie filling and pieces of pie crust won a contest to identify a flavor concept that best suits the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences.
The idea for Human Sci Sweet Cherry Pie — submitted by College of Human Sciences alumni and family members Amy Matthies, Deb Nilles, and Samantha Nilles — was selected in an ISU Creamery-sponsored contest in which students, alumni, faculty, and staff came up with ideas for flavors that represent Iowa State. All three members of the winning team recall making cherry pies in the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom when they were students. The flavor represents College of Human Sciences traditions and the adventurous spirit of CHS students and alumni.
