ISU Extension and Outreach offers tips to engage kids in the kitchen

Ruth Litchfield, professor in food science and human nutrition, gives advice on how to engage kids in the kitchen. Litchfield said that assisting with cooking will help kids learn creativity, responsibility, and self-esteem. Sarah Francis, associate professor in food science and human nutrition, is also one of the nutrition and wellness experts with ISU Extension and Outreach. The two created a list of age-appropriate activities for kids to do in the kitchen.
