Iowa State alumnus Nate Evans builds community through woodworking

Nate Evans, an Iowa State University alumnus and teacher in Ankeny, is the founder of Wood Working with a Purpose. The nonprofit has built more than 1,000 desks for children in central Iowa who are studying at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Evans, his team, and their work has been featured on The Ridge Ankeny, We Are Iowa, the Ames Tribune, WHO 13 Des Moines, Good Morning America and KCCI 8 Des Moines.
