February 20, 2018
Research
James Lang, an assistant professor in the kinesiology department, was awarded $3,782 from the Wilderness Medical Society. Lang is studying the increased susceptibility to hypothermia in older adults by examining their blunted skin blood flow response to cold exposure. He will determine whether selective amino acid supplementation improves thermoregulatory function to cold exposure in this population.
