Janet Melby, senior programs manager in human development and family studies, received $212,371 from the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (Iowa Economic Development Authority) for the second year of a three-year award. This award ensures AmeriCorps members around Iowa can build capacity for local Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC) and allied agencies to support families and children who face risk of abuse and neglect.
Others that are a part of this project include Erika Abusharkh, Audra Hartwigsen, and Joseph Svec, all in human development and family studies.
