Join a new ISU faculty learning community to get involved in long-term, collaborative, interdisciplinary research: Based on faculty proposals, five new faculty learning communities are being launched to lay the groundwork for long-term, collaborative, interdisciplinary research partnerships that address major societal issues facing Iowa, the nation, and the world. The new communities include: Augmented Reality Enhancing Intercultural Competence and Second Language Learning; The Crises of Contemporaneity; Interdisciplinary Approaches to Research and Community Engaged Coursework in Perry, Iowa; Sustainable Peace; and Water Scholars Program. Faculty interested in joining a community are encouraged to contact the group’s faculty leader or think of others they would like to initiate.
