Kevin Kieu, Houa Vang, Justin Winkel among IMPAACT team members receiving Martin Luther King Jr. Advancing One Community award

Student leaders of ISU Making Progress for the Asian American Community Today, or IMPAACT, have received the 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Advancing One Community student group award. The IMPAACT retreat is a major event hosted by the Asian Student Union at Iowa State, which advocates for the experiences of Asian Americans through civic engagement, cultural events, and discussion forums. Those honored include College of Human Sciences students Kevin Kieu in kinesiology and health, Houa Vang in event management; Justin Winkel in education as well as Seth Backham, Kevin Dang, Jaki Delfin, Celest Ki, Kristi Lee, Ryoka Matsuno, Brian Nguyen, and John Nguyen.
