Li-Shan Chou begins as professor and chair of kinesiology: Li-Shan Chou, former professor of biomechanics and department head of human physiology at the University of Oregon, began as professor and chair of the Department of Kinesiology at Iowa State University on July 1, 2019. In his research, Chou applies engineering and mechanical theories to enhance understanding of mechanisms that govern human locomotion and factors related to the increased incidence of falls in older adults and patients with movement disorders.
