Make a reservation to have lunch or dinner at the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom: The Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom reopens Thursday, Jan. 25 for the spring 2018 semester. Lunch will be served Tuesday through Friday from 11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, also beginning Jan. 25. The cost of each meal is $7. Reservations must be made by calling 515-294-3330. An online reservation system is expected to be coming soon. The tearoom is a restaurant/classroom teaching operation within Iowa State University’s world-renowned hospitality management program. The Quantity Food Production and Service Management Experience class operates the tearoom with meal service provided for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Students take responsibility for planning, preparing, and serving the meal, which is made up of an entrĂ©e, salad/vegetable, bread, dessert, and a beverage. The tearoom is a non-profit with approximately 100-seat learning laboratory. Menus are available online.
