With the launch of the Iowa State cross-campus entrepreneurship initiative, the event management program focuses on transforming entrepreneurship with ignition to students’ Iowa State journey.

EVENT 486 is a capstone class that providing real-world experience for students and allows students to plan and implement an event from start to finish as events entrepreneurs. Students have the opportunity to take on all the roles that an event producer would, including marketing, working with vendors and sponsors, and managing a budget to showcase two AESHM student-run businesses, Innovate 1858 and Sparks.

Everyone from across the Iowa State campus is invited to join the “Innovate Your Future” in-person event on April 29, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Student Innovation Center. Take a break from studying for finals and come join us for a short speech by the student Maker from Innovate 1858, a creative activity, and a chance to meet the Maker and see her products. This event is limited to a capacity of 50 participants.
