Media feature Iowa State alumna Sherry Poole as new principal of Hoover High School: Sherry Poole, a former Boone police officer who received her master’s degree in education from Iowa State in 2016, will be the next principal of Hoover High School in Des Moines. The news was featured Monday in The Des Moines Register and by We are Iowa Local News 5. Poole made the transition to education nearly two decades ago. She’s served the Des Moines Public Schools as a teacher, instructional coach, and building leader. She’s currently the school improvement leader at East High School.
