Midterm grades are due Oct 12
September 27, 2018Midterm grades are due by 2:15 on Friday, Oct. 12. Only the instructor can submit grades and a grade is required for every student earning C- or below. The instructor must decide to submit directly through AccessPlus or through Canvas – not both. In Canvas, go to Settings > Course Details > ‘view grading scheme’ and verify that it matches your syllabus. Create and activate a new scheme if necessary. Identify the activities to use for midterm grade determination and ensure every student has a grade in those activities: no blank cells or ungraded submissions. Different methods can be used to calculate the midterm total. The easiest method is to mute columns that should not count, submit the grade using the ISU AdminTool link inside the course, then unmute the columns. More complicated methods involved rearranging the Assignment page, changing assignment group weighting, and using Excel to calculate a Total.
