Nutritional sciences seniors Allyse Shoeman and Megan Slattery to share their research projects April 1 at Iowa State Capitol

Two College of Health and Human Sciences undergraduate students will present their research posters to legislators on Monday in the Iowa State Capitol rotunda in Des Moines, as part of the Regent universities’ Research in the Capitol event. Shoeman will present research titled ‘The Impact of Ethanol Consumption on Gut and Brain Neurochemicals.’ Slattery will present ‘Monocyte Response to Influenza A Virus is Altered in Pre-diabetics.’ The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 1.
