Quiz feedback settings
October 19, 2020The default Canvas Quiz feedback settings are such that as soon as a student submits their quiz then can see their total score (if all questions can be auto-graded), each question they received with response options, their selected response is marked, and the score they earned for the question is shown. This is often too much feedback to provide while an exam is still in progress and allows for easy sharing of test contents. By simply unchecking the “Let Students See Their Quiz Responses” box in the quiz settings, feedback is limited to total score only. This is typically enough information to provide while the test is available and is important to provide if students have the option to reattempt the quiz. After the quiz availability period is over, the instructor can change the feedback settings to provide more details as needed.
