Recovering deleted material

It happens to everyone eventually: we accidentally delete a file, assignment, discussion, or module that we really should not have. Thankfully, Canvas keeps track of deleted items. Get into your course and look at the URL displayed in the browser. It has the format: https://canvas.iastate.edu/courses/#####/(something). Remove everything after the courseID number (#####) series, then add ‘/undelete’. You should have a URL that looks like this: https://canvas.iastate.edu/courses/29348/undelete. When you hit Enter, a list of deleted items that can be restored is shown. After restoring an element, inspect it carefully as it is possible that some associated data may have been lost for good.
