School of Education doctoral candidate to present results of pilot project on summer reading interventions for special education students: Sherry Petty, a School of Education doctoral candidate, will present results of her pilot project, ‘Summer Reading Interventions for Special Education Students,’ at the first joint conference of the Iowa Reading Association and Iowa Association of School Librarians, June 25-27 at the Scheman Building. Petty’s presentation will include information about three summer reading interventions that were implemented with special education students entering third- through fifth-grade to address the issue of summer reading loss.
