School of Education’s Becka Abraham, Heidi Heck to receive Arc of Story County awards

Becka Abraham and Heidi Heck in the School of Education will both receive The Arc of Story County’s 2018 Professional of the Year award for the work they have done with young adults with disabilities through Project SEARCH. The award recognizes the service of professionals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and made significant contributions. Through creation, supervision, and/or implementation of exemplary programs, persons with developmental disabilities received quality and enriched supports in their living, learning and working environments. The award will be presented at Viva la Arc Casino Night, March 3. Activities begin at 6 p.m. at CityChurch of Ames, 2400 Oakwood Road, with awards being presented at 7:30 p.m.
