Singh, Olson, Tsai win Best Research Paper Award at Central CHRIE Conference for study on impact of robots in hospitality, events

Work by Ph.D. student Smita Singh and faculty members Eric Olson and Chin-Hsun (Ken) Tsai earned the Best Paper Award at the 2020 Central Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education Conference, Oct. 23. The team’s paper investigates the perception of event attendees’ evaluation of humanoid service robots and the interactions that shape customers’ thinking and behavior toward the use use of robotic technology. The authors are all scholars in apparel, events, and hospitality management at Iowa State.
