Time to order summer and fall Canvas accounts
April 5, 2018Instructors are once again responsible for ordering their Canvas course accounts (the system will not automatically create them). Start by going to Canvas, clicking the Help link on the left side menu, clicking ‘Global Course Administration,’ then clicking ‘Authorize’ on the ISU Admin tools page. The next screen contains two links: ‘Prepare to Teach’ and ‘Request a Course.’ Go to Request a Course to order an account for fall courses, multi-section summer courses, and single-section classes for which you are not yet listed as the official Instructor of Record. If you are listed as the Instructor of Record for a single-section summer course, you can order the account from either the Request a Course or the Prepare to Teach link. After your new course account has been created, you will still need to use the Prepare to Teach tool to enroll the classlist(s) and publish the course.
