Responsibilities

Office work, Coordinate drop offs and pick ups with vendors, Meet with clients and potential clients, event set up and tear down, facilitate events, service at events, facilitate catering drop off's, work catering service

Accomplishments

I was recently trusted to coordinate a wedding by myself and was run the event by myself. We had a problem with the kegs at the wedding that I was able to quickly resolve to keep the clients happy and the night went smoothly.

Learning experience

You have to constantly be thinking on your feet and problem solving. Being confident in your abilities and experiences is important.

What advice would you give?

Apply for an internship even if you are not sure about it. I did not even consider catering at all, but I applied for this catering/event internship on a whim and got so much experience and now have a full time job in catering, so you never know where it will lead you!
