Accomplishments

During my internship at Anytime Fitness, I took ownership of my responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations. Beyond these tasks, I found immense satisfaction in coaching members who were eager for guidance. Witnessing their progress, from achieving fitness milestones to developing healthier habits, was incredibly rewarding and highlighted the direct positive impact I could have on their individual journeys within the Anytime Fitness community.

Learning experience

My biggest lesson from my Anytime Fitness internship is the critical need to deepen my understanding of the gym's business and operational sides, especially its finances. While I focused on coaching and the front desk, I now realize the importance of grasping how recurring revenue, diverse income streams, and member retention drive financial stability. Understanding cost management and key KPIs (key performance indicators) would offer crucial insights. Even without direct exposure, I now recognize the significance of these financial and operational elements in running a successful franchise, fueling my desire to learn more.

What advice would you give?

Don't be afraid to fail. Always ask questions. Run your space as if you own the company. Leave your space better than you found it. Set the bar as the best intern they have ever had!
