Responsibilities
Over summer, I interned for Roxy at the Boardriders headquarters office in France. I worked with the global marketing team and my internship focused on public relations with the influencers and athletes contracted with the brand. During this internship, my main tasks included keeping track of each athletes' social presence on instagram, scouting influencers for future collabs, assisting in the studio for photo shoots, organizing the showroom and PR storage room, and sending PR packages to agencies or directly to the correspondent. I utilized excel for most of my jobs including social tracking and influencer scouting, and also to keep track of the products in the PR storage room. Every monday, I was invited to sit in on meetings regarding upcoming events with the rest of the marketing team.
Accomplishments
On the last day of my internship, I sat with my managers and discussed what I learned from the internship, how I grew, what I did well on and what I could improve on. My managers all agreed that throughout the internship I was very proactive and had a great attitude- both things that I had made a goal to accomplish throughout. Having that good feedback made me feel accomplished because the people that I worked with every day had recognized and praised me for it.
Learning experience
I learned throughout my entire experience both in a new work environment and a new country that patience is key. There were many obstacles at the beginning that made me feel stressed, but as I reminded myself to keep persevering everything fell into place. Not only with my work but with a language barrier, new characters to work with, new tasks to understand and complete- learning patience on a whole new level is what helped me complete this internship.
