Responsibilities

- Shadow team meetings. - Participate in youth events. - Shadow different YOS programs. - Outreach to other programs/organizations for potential partnership or resource gain. - Complete any research task assigned.

Accomplishments

Completing research as part of the Youth Intervention Pathways team to discuss their program and how it can develop.

Learning experience

As an intern, I did not spend a lot of time with the youth or experiencing a lot do that front line work. The experience that I did have working with the youth was very exciting however it helped me learn that the behind the scenes work is just as important as working hands on with the youth.

What advice would you give?

The more you learn, the more you love it. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, there is always someone willing to help.
