Responsibilities

Intern at Department of Human Services - Case filing - Supervised visits - Transports - Court hearings - Helping the social workers with any paperwork or help that they may need from me.

Accomplishments

Doing a supervised visit at the clients home and being able to help them understand more of what is happening and being able to answer some of the questions they might have.

What advice would you give?

One thing I would say is to do some research on the companies that you are interested in doing your internship. It doesn't hurt to do some background on the company when it comes to decision making for your internship. Plan ahead of time what you are expected to do for hours so when the time comes you will know for sure if you have completed all your hours or if you need more time.
