Atlas Kolpin
Responsibilities
My responsibilities was checking people in and out. I was responsible for checking their vitals before, during, after exercises. Checking their vitals involved getting their blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels. I am also in charge of setting things up for patients to exercise. I also help monitor patients during exercise and occasionally help patients with the free weights.
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment was learning how to effectively prescribe exercise for someone in cardiac rehab.
Learning experience
The greatest lesson that I learned was to how to be creative when working with patients in cardiac rehab, which is important when working with patients with a variety of health issues.
What advice would you give?
My advice to future students in my major is that if you are interested in cardiac rehab then you should take the EKG class before doing your internship.
