Responsibilities

I was a style assistant/closet intern with a few different responsibilities. I documented, retrieved and returned samples around the city that the editors requested for photoshoots. I prepared and assisted on the set of photoshoots like a spread in CR Fashion Book, the cover shoot for the Harpers Bazaar Icon Issue, as well as a lookbook for Jordache Jeans. Finally, I assisted with administrative fashion department tasks and liaising with PR firms and showrooms.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was given the responsibility to dress an actor for a red carpet premiere. It felt amazing to give him my personal opinion on looks and help figure out what he should wear. Also, having my name printed in an issue of CR Fashion Book was a big accomplishement of mine.

What advice would you give?

Don't be afraid to go out and find the internship of your dreams. I was a huge fan of CR Fashion Book before interning with them so I reached out to the editors and made it happen.
