Responsibilities

I have been doing a wide variety of tasks. I am working as the top ACCESS volunteer for Reggie's Sleepout and coordinating volunteers for that event. I have been helping with posts to the social media pages and coordinated a weekly intern spotlight. I have gone to outreach events and have attended court as a legal advocate. I have been working reception duties as well.

Accomplishments

The greatest accomplishment is yet to happen, but will hopefully be the successful running of Reggie's Sleepout. I have put in a lot of time and work for Reggie's Sleepout, and I hope to coordinate volunteers and have a successful event.

What advice would you give?

You get out what you put in. There are a wide variety of interns at ACCESS and I have seen the results that you can get when you put forth your best effort, as well as when you dont put in the effort that is asked of you. One of the greatest tools you can get out of an internship is connections. You can build relationships with people in the field and those relationships can become invaluable to you in your career. It is important for you to put in your best effort and do what is asked of you and build those positive relationships. They can get you very far in your career.
