Accomplishments

Finding something I am truly passionate about and reaching out for help. I wasn't great with this until I started doing it myself. I am so passionate about this non-profit that I am now able to talk about it for hours and because of this, it makes it so easy to just ask.

Learning experience

How much non-profits depend on the community. Non-profits need help from others like volunteers, donations, and support of all kinds. I also learned that we might get tired from our long hours and hard work, but at the end of the day, it's for the things we strongly believe in, and we need to support our team members and volunteers to get going through the hard times.

What advice would you give?

Try out different jobs in your major, you never know what you truly enjoy until doing so. For Event Management I was pretty set on working in weddings, it has an amazing design ability I loved but when actually working in it I found I don't have that type of love for it. I didn't see myself working in non-profits but when trying it out I can actually see myself doing it for a living.
