Carly Aschinger
Responsibilities
A few of my responsibilities were coordinating company meetings, monthly sales meetings, and REG's sales and marketing activities. As well as generate leads using research tools and create a marketing campaign for potential customers.
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment was presenting the capstone project that I worked on all summer to the Senior Leadership Team and Sales and Marketing teams. I put in a lot of time and worked with many REG employees to create this project to benefit the company.
Learning experience
A great lesson I learned was to compromise, be flexible, and adapt to change. My internship experience was great because it put me in real-world situations. I found it important to be a problem solver and keep an open mind.
What advice would you give?
My advice to future students is to go out of their comfort zone and be open to new experiences. I would never have thought working in the biodiesel industry was something I would enjoy. However, it was a great learning opportunity and exposure to real-world marketing and event experience.
