I was based in the Davenport Von Maur store running the cosmetics department. I had to plan a day long event coordinating with staff and customers as well as come up with plans and goal requirements for employees. My focus line was CHANEL during the 10 weeks. I had to complete business analysis on as well as meet with their account executive to plan future product focuses as well as ideas to increase sales.
The greatest accomplishment that I took away from this experience was making the sales goal as a whole department for the day long event that I was responsible for planning and executing. Making the department' sales goal meant that out store location would continue to be able host events and continue to receive new product lines.
What advice would you give?
The sooner you start making connections, the better. The more experiance you have, the better. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask questions to companies.
