Responsibilities

I have provided support to the Soft Goods Engineering team on daily duties by helping with material requests, costing, and material documenting. I have also helped with an emerging project on sustainable materials and design methods for future toys. I have helped with early sample development.

Accomplishments

Making a first sample for a toy that had just started development. The pattern shapes and process are very different from clothing.

Learning experience

Working with people from different backgrounds can open up new ideas and designs.

What advice would you give?

Don't be afraid to think outside the box when you're finding an internship or job. There might be something really interesting that you wouldn't have thought of but where your skills are really useful.
