Responsibilities

As an intern, I implement activity programs as planned and/or assigned. I also prepare for assigned activity programs by ensuring all necessary materials, supplies, or knowledge to lead activity is in place prior to time of activity. The internship also includes setting up the location of the activity appropriately and encourage attendance from residents.

Accomplishments

The greatest accomplishment from my internship was the opportunity to plan Bethany Life's Spring Gala. As an Event Management student, my supervisor entrusted me to make decisions about the Gala and create the invitation. This was a great opportunity to work alongside someone in planning an event.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students would be to build a network of employers. I was the first event intern at Bethany Life, because I reached out to them and wanted to learn more about their facility.
