Chelsea Flack

Responsibilities

Help with visits, transports, type up reports, attend court hearings, assist in removals, attend school visits, take children to appointments, and communicate effectively with companies who partner with DHS.

Accomplishments

I transport children a lot. When I do, sometimes they aren't in a good mood or they are upset about the situation they are in. I try to cheer them up and talk to them. We also listen to their favorite music and play games while in the car. My greatest accomplishment is making an impact on children's lives even for the short time I am with them.

What advice would you give?

Try to get as much experience as you can during your internship. Put yourself out there and ask or volunteer to do extra jobs within your internship. Make a good impression with everyone because you're making connections for the future.
